My View - Sarah Luebbert, APR
It’s been only a few weeks since I returned from the ASAE conference in Chicago and my mind is still spinning with all the information I gathered while I was there. As the incoming president of MSAE I look forward to implementing some of these ideas to grow our state chapter.
I talked with many individuals at the conference about why they belong to ASAE and the feedback was pretty unanimous, education and resources. MSAE has education programming multiple times a year, but we need your feedback to make sure we are providing you what you need.
What I would like to see MSAE work toward over the next year are the resources. How can we be a resource to you and your organization? Do you need help in finding qualified staff? Do you need to educate your current staff, or help them broaden their knowledge base? Do you want samples of work other associations are using such as manuals, policies, membership materials? My goal is to build these resources, brick by brick (because Rome wasn’t built in a day), and make MSAE the association you want/need it to be. After all, MSAE is YOUR association!
